Job Description:

Title                              :           Cisco – Presales Consultant

Experience                    :           5 to 7 Years

Education                     :           Any degree or Any Diploma

Locations                      :           Muscat,Oman

Technical Skill Requirement

  1. In-depth knowledge about TCP/IP Networking and Protocols
  2. Intermediate knowledge on in network equipments configuration as well in Network    Design and Security
  3. Problem-solving and Troubleshooting abilities along with strong organizational and communication skills
  4. Strong documentation and reporting skills as well as high performance in projects
  5. Cisco Routers & Switches: Routers (800, 1800, 3800, 7200, & 7500 Series), Switches (2960, 3560, 4500, & 6500 Series)
  6. Cisco Network Security: Cisco PIX (501, 515, 525) and ASA 5500 Series
  7. VOIP: Cisco Call Manager Software, Cisco IP Phone
  8. Wireless: basic knowledge
  9. Network Protocols and Technologies: TCP/IP, VPN, IPSec, GRE, SSL, UDP, RIP, OSPF,   IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, HSRP, QoS, Ethernet, Frame Relay, VLANs, DNS, LDAP, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SNMP, SMTP, SIP, H.323, Wi-Fi (802.11) etc

10.  Cisco-Presales knowledge will be an added advantage

11.  Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP will be an added advantage

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Provide Pre-Sales Technical Support for activities related to design of various networking solutions for enterprise customer covering LAN, WAN, Security, Unified Communications, Data center, NOC, SOC, SP segment etc.,
  2. Provide Implementation, Troubleshooting & Maintenance support to field engineers on Cisco Networking Products for certain critical customers
  3. Generate RFP, Respond to Tenders, Prepare technical solution write-up, present solution
  4. Prepare High-level, low-level design document as per project needs
  5. Conduct Proof-of-concept & demo on various technologies to customers
  6. Provide regular product update to pre-sales, post-sales, sales team & customers on upcoming technologies
  7. Work closely with sales / marketing team right from the project start till the deal closure
  8. Get trained on New Technologies and products based on project demand and execute projects individually
