  1. 12 +years of experience having working with direct client in the Telecommunications Industry in the capacity of Business Analyst and Solution Architect.
  2. Telecom domain with primary expertise in Oracle Suite (Oracle Communications OR Metasolv OR BRM ) of products.
  3. Should have experience on BRM, OSM, UIM, Metasolv/ASAP, AIA solution independently.
  4. Should have extensive experience in solutioning of large applications outsourcing deals involving primarily Oracle and other technology areas in the Telecommunications domain.
  5. Exposure to working with European clients apart from other geographies is an added advantage.
  6. Demonstrated leadership skills having managed implementations and support services for Oracle based applications/solutions.
  7. Techno-Functional expertise in several of the Oracle Communications modules such as Charging, Billing and Revenue Management, Customer Care, Enterprise Communications, Industry Analytics, Information Architecture, Marketing and Sales, Network Application Infrastructure, Network Resource Management, Network Visibility and Management, Order Management, Service Creation and Delivery, Service Fulfillment, Session Delivery Infrastructure, Session Delivery Platforms, Store Operations, Unified Communications, Web Commerce.

Technical Requirements

  1. Oracle BRM, Siebel UCM, Oracle Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery and Metasolv
  2. Implementation of integration between Oracle and other applications.
  3. Oracle specific end to end solutions such as Communications Customer Experience, Unified CRM and Billing and Revenue Management, Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery, Cross Channel Customer Experience, Rapid Service Design and Order Delivery, Network Resource Management, Cloud Delivery, Oracle Communications WebRTC Session Controller, Service and Network Evolution
  4. Development of Oracle forms, reports, database/tables design and modeling. Should be able to own the data model changes, and suggest improvement/changes.
  5. Extensive experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming. Should be able to write DB scripts.
  6. Extensive experience on performance tuning, tuning SQL and PL/SQL
  7. Experience on other RDBMS/Databases and ERP products an added advantage.

Senior DBA (Oracle / PostgresSQL ) – Chennai

 Responsibilities: 

  1. 5+ Years IT experience in Oracle Database Administration. PostgresSQL is preferred.
  2. Creating and configuring Oracle instances and databases over the network.
  3. Expertise with Designing enterprise-wide database backup and recovery plans and implementing backup/recovery, failover and replication procedures.
  4. Effort to implement RMAN backup strategy. Exporting and Importing Database.
  5. Performance and Diagnostic Tuning, Application Tuning and tune disk utilization.
  6. Configuring Oracle Net and Shared Server options. Fine tuning the database.
  7. Strong experience in monitoring and maintaining production databases.
  8. Upgrading / Migrating Oracle Database Server from 8i to 9i and to 10g as well as Clients.
  9. Setting up Standby Databases in Oracle 9i / 10g for Disaster Recovery.
  10. Installation, configuration, creation and maintenances of PostgreSQL databases.
  11. Knowledge in UNIX Shell scripting.

Roles:

  1. Installation and configuration of Oracle, PostgreSQL Databases.
  2. Creation of databases as per specifications given by the end users.
  3. Designing and implementation of database backup, restore and recovery procedures/techniques.
  4. RMAN and Export/Import utilities for selective Backup.
  5. Check Alert Log errors and make necessary actions to rectify them.
  6. Monitor objects growths (tablespaces, tables). Fine tuning and troubleshooting of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
  7. Frequent analysis of objects or schemas to improve the speed of the database
  8. Handling the connection related issues – resolving problems in client systems..
  9. Database maintenance activities like index rebuilding based on user requests.
  10. Configure & manage standby database for disaster recovery (Data Guard).
  11. Taking cold Backups for test and development database based on the client requirement.
  12. Monitoring the backup and check its consistency and integrity by doing a restoration on a different server.
  13. Keeping a checklist and methodologies, that defines required deliverables at each stage.
